Privacy Policy

Effective July 31, 2026

Krause Web Design (KWD), a division of Krause House LLC, builds and manages websites and online listings for local businesses in the Roanoke Valley. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to design.krauseshouses.com, the websites we host for our clients, and the client dashboard we provide.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you contact us, request a quote, sign an agreement, or use the client dashboard, we collect your name, business name, email address, phone number, the contents of your messages, and the information needed to build and manage your website.

Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers; we retain records of invoices, amounts, and subscription status.

Usage information. Our public marketing pages use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic. We do not use analytics on the client dashboard or on the demo sites we build.

Google user data

If you choose to connect your Google Business Profile to your KWD dashboard, you authorize us through Google OAuth to access your business listing on your behalf. We request only the access needed to provide the feature you asked for: publishing updates, events, and offers (Local Posts) and reading basic listing and performance information so the dashboard can display it to you.

We access this data only at your direction, only for listings you own or manage, and only to provide and improve the features you use. Access tokens are stored securely on our servers and are never exposed to your website visitors or to other clients. We never post to your listing without an action you take.

Limited Use. Krause Web Design’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell Google user data, do not use it for advertising, and do not transfer or use it except as necessary to provide or improve the features you requested, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with notice to you.

Meta (Facebook) user data

If you choose to connect your Facebook Page to your KWD dashboard, you authorize us through Facebook Login to publish to that Page on your behalf. We request only the access needed to provide the feature you asked for: listing the Pages you manage so you can choose which one to connect, publishing posts and photos that you write and confirm, and reading your Page’s follower count to display it in your own dashboard.

We store a Page access token so we can publish on your behalf. It is encrypted at rest on our servers, is never exposed to your website visitors or to other clients, and is used only for the actions above. We never publish without a direct action you take: you write the post, review the exact text and image, and confirm it before anything is sent.

You can disconnect at any time. Use the Disconnect button on the Facebook card in your KWD dashboard, which immediately deletes the stored token. You can also remove our access from Facebook directly under Settings & Privacy → Settings → Business Integrations. See how to delete your data for full instructions. We do not sell Page data, do not use it for advertising, and do not transfer it except as necessary to provide the feature you requested or to comply with applicable law.

How we use information

We use the information we collect to build, host, and maintain your website; to provide the dashboard features you enable; to process payments and manage your subscription; to respond to your requests; and to send you service-related messages. We do not sell your personal information.

How we share information

We share information only with service providers that help us operate, and only as needed: Google (Business Profile and Analytics), Meta (publishing to a Facebook Page you have connected), Stripe (payments), Resend (transactional email), and our hosting and content-delivery providers (DigitalOcean and Cloudflare). We may disclose information if required by law.

Data retention and security

We keep information for as long as your account or project is active and as needed to meet legal and accounting obligations. We protect data with industry-standard measures, including encrypted connections and server-side storage of credentials. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

Your choices

You can disconnect Facebook at any time from the Facebook card in your dashboard, or remove our access under Facebook Settings & Privacy → Settings → Business Integrations. Step-by-step instructions for deleting any data we hold are at design.krauseshouses.com/data-deletion.

You can revoke KWD’s access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing us. We will respond within a reasonable time.

Children’s privacy

Our services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the effective date above.
